Football is thriving in Grantham
- Reg Jackson Lincs FA |
| There is a thriving football community in Grantham with two
adult leagues run on both days of a weekend, and a superb junior set up usually
run on a Sunday. The Grantham Youth League
has it's own website which you can find in our Links
page. In the absence of a website for the adult leagues, the G & D RA will
publish details of matters of importance, Fixtures, Referee Appointments, Club
details, and League Tables on our website. After all we wouldn't exist if
there were no football clubs, and the Leagues would not exist or function
properly without the help of Referees. |

Referee Marks are now out of 100 for Season
2006-2007 |
| This season the Football Association (FA)
have directed that Clubs are to mark their match officials out of 100
instead of the usual mark out of 10. Both the Grantham Saturday and
Grantham Sunday League Clubs are to mark out of 100 this season.
In doing so they have a major responsibility to ensure that the
officials are marked fairly and consistently so that those officials
aspiring for promotion are all on a level playing field, and that the FA
can distinguish between the good and average referee.
The FA are conscious that a number of clubs have in the
past marked the match officials based upon results or last minute
controversial decisions rather than the overall performance and because
of this they have issued guidelines, Refs Marks, to clubs as an aid to
ensure that there is more consistency in marking. |
